It’s the one thing we all want in life.
It has been found to be important to people of every culture. Science is backing up it’s importance by the number of physical and mental outcomes that happiness predicts.
Happiness is an elusive subject, though. Part of the reason being is that we all define it a little differently. There’s short term happiness – like joy and jubilation – but there’s also the deeper meaning. Life satisfaction, contentment, and overall health. Something psychologists call “well-being”.
There’s a lot of nuances to the topic. What makes people happy and what doesn’t. How some people are happy with very little, while others have everything and are still depressed.
The implications for us as individuals is profound. And I plan on keeping you in the loop about the latest research on happiness.
